Orientation for International Students at the State Islamic University of Salatiga.
On Thursday, September 5, 2024, in welcoming international students from various countries, LP2M UIN Salatiga held an orientation for new students for the 2024/2025 academic year both in-person and virtually. The event was attended by the Vice Rector for Student Affairs, the Chair of LP2M, the Head of the International Cooperation Division, the Academic Services Division, the Library Division, and international students from various countries. During this orientation, several international students attended in person at the Journal House, including students from the Philippines, Yemen, and Thailand.
The event began with a brief speech from the Head of the International Cooperation Division at UIN Salatiga, who said, “Welcome to our new international students at UIN Salatiga. We hope you have a comfortable study experience by adhering to the rules and regulations of our campus.
The orientation was also attended by the Academic Services Division, which plans to create special email accounts for international students. “At the very least, to create the special email accounts, we need the student’s ID number (NIM) and full name as initial data.
The main event in this orientation was a presentation delivered by the Head of the International Cooperation Center of LP2M UIN Salatiga, Marissa Fran Lina, M. Pd. The material presented included the rights and responsibilities of international students, regulations and housing for international students, as well as campus issues discussed openly. (MFL)
