An International Student of UIN Salatiga Won Best Speaker in the International Call for Paper Competition, SEIMAN (Sharia Economics Intellectual Moslem)
Fatoumatta Gassama, an international student from Gambia, Africa at UIN Salatiga, nominated as the best speaker at the International CALL for Paper Competition. The event, held on Wednesday (October 9th, 2024), was organized by the Sharia Economics Intellectual Moslem (SEIMAN), UIN Salatiga.
Gassama, who is studying Sharia Business Management at the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business at UIN Salatiga, was recognized for her outstanding presentation skills and insightful ideas, which set her apart from other participants in the competition.
Gassama expressed her joy at participating in the event. “Well, I felt so happy cause since my childhood to high school I love speaking in public that’s just part of me I just love doing it so when I was selected I was confident that I can do it even though I am new to UIN Salatiga because it’s already in me so I was happy to join the competition cause I feel like is an international thing so I was even more into it to gain the experience which was just absolutely fun honestly.”
It was challenging but I was not also surprised being the best speaker because I deserve it. I got up there totally prepared! I loved every minute of it, people who stopped me in the hall told me they loved my speech and even the judges were like I was enjoying what I was doing. Cause yes, I love giving out speech and I enjoy it when doing it. It was really amazing,” she said. (NAR/ed. MFL)
