International Students Community Engagement (ISComE) Visits Salatiga City Government for Discussion

On Tuesday, July 16, 2024, the delegation from International Students Community Engagement (ISComE) 2024 visited the Salatiga City Government for a discussion. Present were the Vice Rector for Academic and Institutional Affairs of UIN Salatiga, Prof. Dr. Muh. Saerozi, M.Ag., who was welcomed by Acting Mayor of Salatiga, Yasip Khasani, S.IP., M.M. The delegation was received at Warung NKRI Digital, located at the Salatiga Kesbangpol Office.

In his speech, the Acting Mayor expressed his gratitude to the ISComE delegation for their visit. “We thank the Vice Rector and the ISComE 2024 delegation for coming. Please enjoy your time in Salatiga.” The Vice Rector then noted that the 36 students came from 13 countries and were brought to Salatiga to witness religious moderation firsthand. “Mr. Acting Mayor, I would like to mention that these 36 foreign students are from 13 different countries. Alhamdulillah, we are able to bring them here to experience the most tolerant city in Indonesia,” said the Vice Rector.

The ISComE participants then introduced themselves and interacted during the meeting. The participants expressed their pleasure at being in Salatiga and hoped to stay longer.
